AAPA APF Okura Mental Health Leadership Foundation Fellowship

The AAPA-APF Okura Mental Health Leadership Foundation Fellowship provides grants to support psychology’s efforts to benefit the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community through research, training, and service/practice.  The grant is to enable better understanding, better treatment, better services and better training, all essential aspects to a healthy, robust, and high achieving AAPI population.

The $20,000 grant will rotate each year among these three areas.
  • 2009: Fellowship to support research that will benefit the AAPI Community.
  • 2010: Fellowship to support training initiatives that will benefit the AAPI Community.
  • 2011: Fellowship to support service and practice initiatives that will benefit the AAPI Community.
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be members of AAPA. Additional eligibility criteria are described in the RFP specific for each year's Fellowship.
